Gran Fondo Cedar Valley
Bikers from across the country are gearing up this week to ride the inaugural Gran Fondo Cedar Valley in downtown Cedar Falls! Riders will leave from downtown Cedar Falls at 7am on August 22nd to ride a 100 mile, 60 mile, or 30 mile route around the Cedar Valley with stops in up to nine area communities.
The Cedar Falls Recreation Center will be open and available for cyclists to take showers after their ride for $3 to freshen up before the fun of FondoFest begins.

Following the ride, we're closing down Main Street for the first time EVER to host the brand new FondoFest street festival, complete with live entertainment, a beer garden, kid's activities and more on August 22nd from 4-9pm! Plus, we're also giving away some awesome prizes!
Cory Ford from 97.7 KCRR will be there at 4PM to get the crowd pumped and play hit music before Checker and the Bluetones perform on stage at 6-9PM. Bring your lawn chairs to sit on Main Street and enjoy the live music!
There will be plenty to eat and drink at the festival too. Step into our beer garden to savor a wide selection of your favorite tap beers, plus featured Iowa craft brews from Backpocket Brewing, Millstream Brewing, Peace Tree Brewing and SingleSpeed Brewing. Luna Art + Wine, Soho, and Maid-Rite will be setting up on to the street to serve up some of your favorite local eats as well!
We've got something special planned for the kiddos too! Bring them to the FUNdo kids area to enjoy a Strider Bike obstacle course, inflatables from KT Inflatables, face painting, and balloon animals. We’re also giving away two Strider bikes, courtesy of Scheels and Strider Bikes!
