JINGLE & MINGLE
Shop downtown Cedar Falls during Jingle and Mingle Thursday, December 3 from 5-8pm! Find unique gifts for everyone on your list during holiday open houses as you shop to the sounds of carol singers, and stroll the sidewalks to view the beautifully decorated windows, smell the fresh greenery and enjoy the sparkle of holiday lights. There’s no better time of year to realize first hand the “slogan” of Cedar Falls Main Street – “Where Good Friends Meet!”
Make memories with the little ones as you enjoy several other fun activities that will be taking place from 6-8pm. Follow the spectacular music and light show to Santa’s Workshop located at the corner of 4th and Main Streets where children can visit Santa and his elves. Your favorite holiday characters will also be strolling the streets to greet everyone. Free horse-drawn trolley rides will leave from the Cedar Falls Public Library throughout the evening. A Live Nativity will be open at 6th and Main Streets outside Richardson Funeral Home as well. Bundle up and soak in the magic of downtown during Holiday Hoopla in Cedar Falls!
Thanks to University of Iowa Credit Union for sponsoring the trolley rides during Jingle and Mingle; Correll, Sheerer, Benson, Engles, Galles & Demro for sponsoring the Holiday Characters; and Richardson Funeral Home, Koch Construction and Life 101.9 for sponsoring the Live Nativity.
BREAKFAST AT THE NORTH POLE
Pancakes will be flying high again this year during Breakfast at the North Pole on Saturday, December 5th from 8 – 11 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Community Center. Enjoy sausage, coffee, beverages, and stacks of pancakes with plenty of syrup! Santa and all his favorite holiday friends will be there to join in on the fun all morning.
Tickets are $6 each and are available online at www.cfholidayhoopla.com until 4pm on Friday December 4th. Tickets are also available at World’s Window (214 Main St) or Sassy Chic (218 Main St) in downtown Cedar Falls or at the door the day of the event. Since this event is based on a first-come, first-serve basis, purchasing tickets online is highly recommended.
We'll be accepting donations for the Salvation Army's Toy Drive during this event. New, UNWRAPPED toys, appropriate for age’s infant to 18 years old, valued at $25 or less, are welcome. Toys can also be dropped off at Spinutech, Inc. or the Cedar Falls Public Library from November 27th-December 7th.
Following the breakfast, Santa and his elves will also be at his workshop at the corner of 4th and Main from 11am-2pm.
Thank you to Veridian Credit Union, Varney and Associates and Martin Brothers for sponsoring this event.
