A plan has been developed to conduct a parking study in the downtown district. The goal of the study is to review current parking arrangements in the downtown district, identify baseline inventory and issues, propose solutions, and to recommend implementation of near-term and of long-term solutions. An inventory of current parking areas is complete and an audit of parking use has begun. Community Main Street is seeking to engage community members in the audit process. Twice a week, volunteers will be asked to canvas a portion of the downtown area to audit parking use throughout the day. There are four time slots each day and one to two volunteers are needed for each time. Maps and instructions will be provided to all volunteers.
