Cedar Falls Community Main Street has long welcomed — and depended on — the participation of many, many individuals and businesses to help make downtown the heart of the community. And it’s clear that those efforts are paying off — downtown is thriving, with a diverse array of shopping, entertainment, dining, cultural activities and professional services.

It’s also clear that the community spirit is alive and well throughout Cedar Falls. We say this because, while the Main Street program is funded via a SSMID, more and more people from outside this SSMID are inquiring about how they can share in the successes of the downtown area.

Become a Friend of Main Street

In response to this interest, Cedar Falls Community Main Street has implemented the Friends of Main Street Program. This program offers business owners, professionals and anyone else throughout the Cedar Falls area the opportunity to help spread the excitement of downtown, while gaining access to a host of Community Main Street services and informational resources.

As a Friend of Main Street, you’ll be helping support a rich array of family-centered activities that have become the hallmark of Cedar Falls Community Main Street’s events programming over the past decade. These include:
