Bike Tech was purchased by current owner Brent Johnson in 2006. Since its beginning, Bike Tech has continued to evolve based on customer suggestions, the experiences of Bike Tech staff, and thoughts from our peers in the bicycle retail community.

Christian Brandenburg, a native of Germany, is a 1997 Graduate of the Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City, Utah. He worked at Peter Prier & Sons in Salt Lake City before coming to Iowa and starting his own business. Christian holds a BA in violin performance and has extensive experience as an orchestral and chamber musician. His training as a violinist provides his customers with invaluable expertise when evaluating instruments and bows and when making sound adjustments.

The Cedar Trails Partnership welcomes you to more than 100 miles of hard-surfaced trails. Configured in a series of loops, our award-winning trails wind through Black Hawk County, Iowa, and the metropolitan areas of Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Evansdale, Hudson and La Porte City.

Built in 1921, this unique round structure was originally home to the flourishing Cedar Falls Ice and Fuel Company. It stored six to eight thousand tons of ice each year—cut right from the frozen Cedar River. Now it is the only museum in the United States that combines an original ice house with an extensive collection of ice harvesting artifacts and archives.
